Filter on Report

Introduction

“Filter on Fly” makes your reports interactive, allowing users to adjust filter values directly on the report interface — no need to edit the report itself.

By the end of this guide, you’ll be able to:

  • Enable Filter on Fly
  • Allow end-users to change filter inputs dynamically

Prerequisites

  • You’ve set up basic filters
  • You want the filters to be user-editable at runtime

Step-by-Step: Enable Filter on Fly

Step 1: Activate Filter on Fly

  1. Go to the Filters section of your report.
  2. Click the “Filter on Fly” button.

Step 2: Recreate Filters for User Interaction

  1. Add the filters you want users to interact with.
  2. Configure them just like regular filters.

Step 3: Save and Run the Report

  • Save your report.
  • Run it to see the filters displayed as input fields at the top.
  • Users can change values and refresh the report as needed.

Next Steps

Use this feature to empower report viewers, making your reports more dynamic and versatile without additional editing access.
