Dashboards in Dotnet Report are not static — they’re fully customizable, making it easy to evolve your data visualizations as your business needs change. Whether you’re renaming, reorganizing, or adding new reports, Dotnet Report ensures that your dashboards remain flexible and current.
This guide walks you through how to edit existing dashboards and add or remove reports seamlessly.
Prerequisites
To edit a dashboard or add reports:
- You must have at least one dashboard already created.
- You must have access to the dashboard and the reports to be added.
Editing a Dashboard
- Click on the Dashboard tab you want to edit.
- Click the Edit Dashboard button/icon.
- You can now:
- Rename the dashboard
- Update the description
- Modify the reports (add or remove)
- Delete the Dashboard
- Rename the dashboard
Note: Reports must be selected manually using checkboxes before adding.
Edit Access Management
You can update user and role-based access while editing:
- Modify access control settings (edit/view-only).
- Adjust user-level or role-level permissions.
Edit Email Schedule
Change the email delivery schedule:
- Adjust the time, frequency, or time zone
- Add or remove email recipients
- Modify the start and end date range
- Change the format of the report (Excel, etc.)
Customizing Dashboard
- Refresh Dashboard: Updates all report data instantly.
- Arrange Mode: Toggle ON to:
- Drag and drop reports into position.
- Resize by adjusting width/height.
- Zoom in, zoom out, or stretch to full screen.
All layout changes are saved automatically. No need to manually save layout adjustments.
- Export the dashboard in PDF, Excel or Word
