Managing Multiple Dashboards

In many real-world scenarios, a single dashboard isn’t enough. Different teams or departments may need their own visual spaces. Dotnet Report supports multiple dashboards, each with its own set of reports and custom layout — all displayed as easily navigable tabs.

This guide will show you how to manage and navigate multiple dashboards efficiently.

Prerequisites

Before managing multiple dashboards:

  • At least two dashboards should already be created.
  • Each dashboard must have at least one report added.

Working with Dashboard Tabs

  • Each dashboard you create appears as a tab at the top of the dashboard workspace.
  • Click on a tab to switch between dashboards.
  • Each dashboard retains:
    • Its unique name and description
    • A specific set of reports
    • Its own arrangement and layout
    • Its own access management settings
    • Its own email schedule settings

Managing Individual Dashboards

  • Edit each tab by clicking Edit Dashboard.
  • Add or remove reports within each dashboard independently.
  • Export each dashboard in PDF, Excel, or Word.
  • Refresh each tab to reflect changes or new data.
  • Update access management and email schedule independently for each dashboard.

Rearranging Reports in Each Tab

When “Arrange” mode is turned ON:

  • You can rearrange reports freely within a dashboard.
  • Resize reports to optimize space usage.
  • Zoom or expand individual reports as needed.

All layout changes are saved automatically with no need to manually save.

Multiple dashboards allow you to segment your reporting views — whether by project, department, or data type. Dotnet Report’s tabbed layout makes it simple to switch contexts while keeping everything organized and easy to access. With powerful editing, exporting, and arranging tools, each dashboard becomes a tailored space for data-driven decision-making.
